The Books

The Avengers #1, “The Coming of the Avengers” (1963)
Written by Stan Lee

Loki is angered by his imprisonment to the Isle of Silence and seeks revenge on the being responsible, his step-brother Thor. He uses his mental abilities to trick the incredible Hulk into destroying a train track. Which is sorta really easy. I mean, he's The Hulk. People think the Hulk is attempting to destroy the train. Which is a sorta really easy mistake. I mean, he's The Hulk. As the manhunt for Hulk begins, the signal reaches Thor, Iron Man, and Ant-Man (along with Wasp). And they decide to make a team with im. Which is sorta really easy to understand. I mean, he's The Hulk.

Marvel Adventures: The Avengers #32, “The Big Payoff” (2009)
Written by Paul Tobin

No matter how powerful you are, how heroic you are, or how beloved you are, you still have to pay taxes. And when the IRS comes knocking on the door to Avengers Tower, it causes all sorts of problems. Luckily, the Avengers can avoid the problematic filing of their real names by helping the IRS collect back taxes on a few deadbeats. Unfortunately, those deadbeats include Bullseye, Man-Bull, the Absorbing Man, Whirlwind, and a certain highly-successful web- designer named Oog---and these guys DON'T want to pay! Action! Adventure! Taxes?
